Handmade wooden pens - History in your hand – DevonPens

Devon Pens

Devon Pens collection of wood with a story has grown considerably over the years. We are now able offer a large collection of unique wooden pens made with locally grown and historic woods. If you take a look at the collections menu above, you will see there are now a large number of memorable & historic locations covered along with a large number of Ships. Keep an eye on the news blogs and see what I have in the pipeline.
A wooden pen is certainly a different writing experience to a cheap plastic throw away item. Add in a history behind the wood to complement the wonderful feel, you now have a truly unique writing experience with history in your hand. The wood pens are all made by me in my workshop in South Devon UK. My handmade pens include wooden fountain pens, wooden rollerball pens, wooden ballpoint pens and wooden mechanical pencils. All are available in a number of styles with several different finishes including gold plate, silver chrome and gunmetal to name a few.

I was honoured to be asked to supply pens for the G7 summit in Cornwall. Each of the leaders were given a fountain pen in a presentation box. Each of the pens were made with a piece of oak that was previously a finger board waymarker sign on the South West Coast path.

I am happy to take on commissions, so if you have a piece of wood that has a story for you feel free to get in touch. Likewise, if you don't see what you want please just ask.
