Lovely handmade wooden handled double ended seam ripper in Yew from National trust property Stourhead. Featuring gold coloured fittings which perfectly compliment the wood.
The wood featured in this pen is Yew from Stourhead, Wiltshire. When Stourhead first opened in the 1740s, a magazine described it as ‘a living work of art’. The world-famous landscape garden has at its centrepiece a magnificent lake reflecting classical temples, mystical grottoes, and rare and exotic trees.
The seam ripper will be shipped in the recyclable card case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All items are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
