Seafire propeller ballpoint pen
Quality handmade wooden ballpoint twist pen handmade with Jablo plywood removed from a second world war Seafire propeller blade. The seafire is the naval version of the legendary Spitfire. The first combat mission of the Seafire was the Allied landings in North Africa.
The plywood for the propellor is made with many thin layers of laminated Birch impregnated with resins. The pen has brushed Pewter coloured fittings.
This is a beautiful handmade quality pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish. The pen makes use of standard Parker® type refills. It will be shipped in black card presentation box as shown. Each pen will vary slightly as no two pieces of wood are quite the same.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
