Stunning ballpoint pen handmade in Teak from RRS Discovery. The pen is made from Teak removed during restoration work.

RRS Discovery is the world-famous ship used for Antarctic exploration. Launched in 1901, as a three masted ship. Her first mission was the British National Antarctic Expedition carrying Robert Scott and Ernest Shackleton.

This is a beautiful quality pen Featuring brushed Pewter coloured fittings. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.

The pen accepts small standard Parker® style refills allowing maximum choice of ink types. A quality refill in black ink is fitted for you.

The pen will be shipped in the black card case as pictured. Along with a certificate of authenticity giving details of the woods origin. 

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
