How to Replace Your Pencil Mechanism
Replacing the mechanism of your 0.7mm pencil is quite simple and can be done at home. First, you'll need to disassemble the pencil by removing the nib carefully unscrewing it from the body. Once removed take out the old mechanism by pulling it out of the top of the pencil, taking care not to pull too hard as the mechanism may catch on the centre band of the pencil. Replacing it with a new one is a reversal of removing. Make sure to secure everything back in place once you finish.
