Laburnum pen
Quality handmade wooden ballpoint pen handmade in stabilised Laburnum rootball. The pen features gold coloured fittings which perfectly compliment this stunning piece of wood.
This is a beautiful handmade pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish. The pen photographed is the pen you will receive.
The wood featured in this pen is taken from the rootball of a Laburnum tree. The wood is stabilised by soaking under vacuum to impregnate the wood with the resin. This was done as the wood had some very soft areas.
The pen accepts standard Parker® type refills which are widely available. It will be shipped in the case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
