HMS Warspite Teak pen

Stunning ballpoint pen handmade in Teak from HMS Warspite. The pen is made from Teak salvaged from the ship.

When she was broken, a number of items were made with the salvaged teak. This pen is made from teak taken from a damaged desk set, which was made at the time.

HMS Warspite  is a Queen Elizabeth class battleship. She was laid down in 1912 and commissioned in 1915. She gained many battle honours, earning 15 of the 25 awarded to ships with this name. She was decommissioned in 1945.

This is a beautiful quality pen Featuring gunmetal, gold or chrome coloured fittings. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.

The pen accepts small standard Parker® style refills allowing maximum choice of ink types. A quality Schmidt P900 M refill in black ink is fitted for you.

The Parker® style refills I stock can be found here.

The pen will be shipped in the black card case as pictured. Along with a certificate of authenticity giving details of the woods origin.

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
