Thomas Hardys cottage Beech

This is a handmade Fountain pen, Rollerball pen and pencil in Beech wood from a tree that grew in the grounds of Thomas Hardys cottage.

This handmade set are made from Beech wood with gold coloured fittings. It is has a traditional wax finish giving it a wonderful warm feeling allowing the wood to shine through. The set is presented in the custom cut card display box as shown.
The fountain pen is supplied with a medium gold plated nib as standard. It makes use of standard international ink cartridges. Also supplied is an ink convertor to allow the use of bottled inks.

The pencil makes use of standard 0.7mm leads and the ballpoint pen standard Cross C1 refills.

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.

The wood for the pens was is collected as logs by myself. Cut to planks it was then then stored in a controlled environment too season for over four years. Now it is ready to be cut to a suitable size to make pens from.
