This is a lovely quality handmade ballpoint pen. It features Yew that grew at Exeter university campus. The Yew is complemented by the fly fishing themed pewter coloured fittings.
The pen is equipped with a quality black Parker® type refill. It will be shipped in the recyclable card case pictured along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
Yew trees are known for their qualities of longevity and regeneration. Drooping branches of the yew can root and form new trunks where they contact the ground. Thus the yew came to symbolise death and resurrection in Celtic culture
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
