Saltram Oak
Fountain pen handmade in Oak from Saltram House in Plymouth.
This is a beautiful handmade quality fountain pen. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
The pen is made from Oak wood with gun metal coloured fittings. The pen cap can be posted to the rear of the pen when in use.
Features a medium nib and is approximately 135mm long and 15mm at the widest part including the cap.
Each pen will be slightly different as no two pieces of wood are quite the same.
The pen accepts small 'International' ink cartridges (One included), or a refillable ink reservoir also included. It will be shipped in the fully recyclable presentation box pictured. Also included will be a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
