All wooden items are handmade by myself in my workshop based in the village of Ermington in the South Hams, Devon. I collect the woods, cut them to size and then normally store them for at least twelve months prior to use. The time is needed to allow the to Season/dry. If the wood is worked while still wet, it can lead to the splitting.
