Roller Ball pen in Scot's Pine from Walkhampton, Dartmoor.
Quality Roller ball pen handmade in Scot's Pine form Lady Modiford's school, Walkhampton, Dartmoor. The pen features Gunmetal coloured fittings which perfectly compliment the wood.
This is a beautiful handmade quality pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
The wood featured in this pen is Scot's Pine. The tree grew in the grounds at the back of Lady Modiford's school in Walkhampton. It came down in a storm several years ago, and has now reached a point of seasoning that it can be turned. The school will be 300 years old next year, so has along standing history within Dartmoor.
The pen accepts standard Roller ball refills which are widely available. It has installed a Schmidt 888 fine refill. It will be shipped in the environmentally friendly card case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
