Cotehele spalted beech fountain pen

Fountain pen handmade in spalted beech grown at National trust property, Cotehele House, Cornwall. The pen features chrome coloured fittings. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.

Cotehele was the ancestral home to the Edgcumbe family for centuries. The Tudor house, is perched high above the River Tamar in the Parish of Calstock in the East of Cornwall. The house is one of the least altered Tudor houses in the UK.

Featuring a medium nib, the pen measures approximately 130mm long and 15mm at the widest part. The pen is postable to allow the cap to be mounted on the end while in use.

The pen accepts small 'International' ink cartridges (one included), or a refillable ink convertor also included. It will be shipped in the environmentally friendly card presentation case as pictured. A small gift card will be sent with the item giving details of the olive wood.

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
