Fly fishing ballpoint pen in Spalted Beech from Saltram House Plymouth, Devon
Quality handmade wooden ballpoint pen handmade in spalted Beech from Saltram House Plymouth completed with fly fishing themed fittings.
The pen top resembles a traditional fly-fishing reel with detailed fly line on the spool. The pen clip is the fishing rod reeling in a fighting trout. Finally, the pen tip features a 360° outdoors scene of a lone angler casting his line in front of a mountain backdrop.
The wood featured in this pen is Spalted Beech from a tree that grew at Saltram House in Plymouth.
The pen accepts standard "parker" type refills which are widely available. It will be shipped in the case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
