Quality handmade wooden ballpoint twist pen handmade in wormy Oak . The pen features Brushed Pewter style fittings. The Oak in the pen does show a number of black marks that are the result of an ages old wood worm attack(long gone). The holes are filled to stabilise the wood and allow a smooth finish.
The wood in the pen was salvaged from the roof of St Georges Chapel, Windsor Castle.
This Oak is believed to date from the birth of the castle in 1474, originally this timber came from repairs carried out on the famous historic buildings roof in the 1920's then sold to either fund the repairs or for local charities. Much of this Ancient Oak was fashioned into various bespoke items.
The pen is equipped with a quality Parker® type refill. It will be shipped in the recyclable card case pictured along with a certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
