HMS Victory Elm - handmade ballpoint pen
HMS Victory Elm pen
Stunning Ballpoint pen handmade in HMS Victory Elm removed during restoration work. Victory was Nelson's flagship in the famous battle Trafalgar in 1805. HMS Victory dates back to 1759 when her keel was laid, she was finally commissioned in 1778.
The pen is finished with Rhodium coloured fittings. The pen in the photographs is for illustration only. Each pen will be very slightly different as wood is natural, no two pieces are quite the same. I was lucky to get three pieces of this Elm and each is very similar to the one pictured.
This is a beautiful quality handmade pen. The comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
The pen makes use of standard Parker type refits, a quality black one is installed in the pen ready to use.
The pen will be shipped in the recyclable card case as pictured. Along with a gift certificate giving details of the HMS Victory Elm wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
