Most of the pens use a standard size five fountain pen nib. This enables the use of other nibs if required. I offer the option of the pen being supplied with a Bock nib in the sizes Extra fine, fine, medium, broad and extra broad along with Calligraphy type nibs. The old growth trees died where they stood, eventually falling into the silt that now covered the forest floor. Some were preserved in the anaerobic conditions only to be disturbed thousands of years later by farmers now cultivating this rich land. Some of theses Sub-fossilised tress are found with trunks in excess of 100ft.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Bog oak has a weight and density to rival the most highly valued tropical hardwoods, it is also the only native tree to provide black wood. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pen features a quality medium German nib and is approximately 130mm long and 15mm at the widest part including the cap. Phoenix Wharf was used from 1847 for over 50 years to allow the loading of passengers bound for a new life in America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The Emigration depot was one of the most popular in the uK as it had some of the best facilities to house up to around one thousand emigrants while awaiting passage.
