Saltram House Oak
Quality handmade wooden ballpoint twist pen handmade in Oak from Saltram House Plymouth. The pen features Gun Metal coloured fittings which perfectly contrast against the wood. The pen is slightly heavier than the standard thin version, the centre is a little thicker.
This is a beautiful handmade quality pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
The wood featured in this pen is Oak from a tree that grew at Saltram House in Plymouth. Each pen will differ from the picture as wood is natural no two pieces will be quite the same.
The pen accepts standard cross® type refills which are widely available. It will be shipped in the recyclable card case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood.
All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
